Printing mehod of MIR-9100 Mirror Silver
Q&A on Mirror Silver
We received a lot of inquiries about printing of our new product MIR 9100 Mirror Silver Ink.
We are reporting these questions and answers for your better understanding of our new product.
Q1. What is the main advantage of MIR 9100 Mirror Silver Ink compared with MIR 8100 Mirror Silver Ink?
A1.
Item | Advantages |
---|---|
Mirror Effect | Can provide better mirror effect than old Mirror Inks. |
Viscosity | Higher viscosity. As it has higher viscosity the ink can be printed with hingetype screen presses.> |
Adhesion | Stronger adhesion. The ink has highest adhesion among old Mirror Inks. |
Stability on stencil | Better stability on stencil. The ink uses slower volatile solvent and as the results, clogging in the screen and evaporation on the stencil were greatly reduced. Fine patterns can be printed much more easily. |
Q2. How should the additives be used?
Q: How can we get milder mirror effect?
A: The mirror effect can be adjusted by adding MIR 9100 Mirror decreaser 0-30%.
Q: How can we get stronger adhesion?
A: Higher adhesion can be got by adding MIR 9000 Medium Base. But the mirror effect will be decreased.
Q: How can we get higher opacity?
A: Following countermeasures will help.
(1) Add SM 90 Defoamer by 2%. As it helps to get better screen pass, higher opacity can be expected.
(2) Add MIR 9000 Medium Base by 5-10%.
(3) Take both of (1) and (2).
Q: How can we print on hard-to-print substrate?
A: Add 1% of 106 Catalyst, and you can print on a hard-to-print substrate such as hard-coated Acrylic resin plate.
Q: How can we print negative letters or fine lines.
A: (1) Add 2% of SM 90 Defoamer
(2) Add MIR 9000 Medium Base by 5-10%.
Q3. Would you tell us the resistances of MIR 9100 Mirror Silver Ink?
A3. Following is the resistance test results.
