Coexistence of Black color with high opacity and non-conductivity.

Introduction of Non-Conductive Black ink

News to the person in charge of developing electrical equipment and considering design and reliability.

We will introduce technology of Black ink having both high opacity and non-conductivity.

1. Non-Conductive Black ink (930 NC BLACK) having both high opacity and high electrical resistance value

1. Problem of Black ink pursuing high opacity and non-conductivity

Black ink is used to realize black color having high opacity generally.

However, Black ink is easy to conduct electricity and therefore there was a risk of inducing malfunction such as spark by static electricity, electromagnetic interference to internal antenna, etc. at the time of using electrical equipment such as smartphone, etc.

On the other hand, conventional non-conductive black color ink of mixed pigments had problem of insufficient opacity even if it can realize high electrical resistance value.

2. Non-Conductive Black ink (930 NC BLACK) supporting high opacity and high electrical resistance value at the same time

Non-Conductive Black ink introduced this time solves the above-mentioned problem and supports high opacity and high electrical resistance value at the same time.

This Non-Conductive Black ink realizes surface electrical resistance value over 1010Ω.

This high electrical resistance value improves resistance to static electricity, etc. and therefore enables safety use of the ink for electrical equipment such as smartphone, etc.

Since this Non-Conductive Black ink can be made with the following inks, please use the ink in accordance with applications.

  • GLS-HF 930 NC Black,
  • MRX-930 NC Black

Other than the above, Non-Conductive Black inks are available for 13 ink, POS ink, and INQ ink now.

2. Example of variation of Non-Conductive Black ink

1. Difference between conventional non-conductive black color by color matching and Non-Conductive Black ink (930 NC BLACK)

The following photos are example of inks for glass substrate, which compare difference of opacity between conventional non-conductive black color by color matching and Non-Conductive Black ink with backlight.

We can see excellent opacity of 930 NC BLACK from the following photo.

2. Other examples of Non-Conductive Black ink

Non-Conductive Black ink are provided as various types of inks. (The following photos are examples of molding ink.)
