XGL-HF Screen ink
(High Quality and High Definition Screen Printing Ink Exclusive for Glass)

High Quality and High Definition screen printing ink is the ink which reproduces solid printing and fine pattern faithfully and enables stable printing of 100µm width fine line with quite high accuracy.  Ink sagging width: Within 8µm (one side), within 116µm (line width).Excellent printing stability and re-printability, which number of times of stencil cleaning can be reduced.
XGL-HF ink is two pack type screen ink which is suitable for printing on glass.
The ink provides excellent printing stability, adhesion, and the resistances which are essential for glass printing.

Applications and Substrates

  • Printing on glass

Special features

  • Enables quite highly precise printing such as printing 100µm width fine line, dot, etc.
  • Halogen compounds, Bromine (Br), Chlorine (Cl) are not intentionally used in raw materials.
    (Cl≦900ppm, Br≦900ppm, Cl+Br≦1500ppm)
  • Provides excellent adhesion to glass and the resistances and is widely applicable.

Dilution / Cleaning

  • Dilution may separate over time.  Stir well before every use.
  • Add 0.5 % of XGL-HF GLASS PROMOTER to ink and mix uniformly before use.
  • Pot life (usable time) is about 5 hours at the time of using at 25℃.
  • Expired pot life does not cause gelation, but may prevent sufficient performance of ink; such as deterioration of adhesion and resistance, forming at the time of printing, etc.
  • Please prepare and mix the required quantity only.
  • Dilution is not required before printing. Add XZ-705 SOLVENT within 5 % if necessary.
  • SCREEN CLEANER XN is recommended to clean the stencil.
  • XSM-40 DEFOAMER can be added up to 1% for defoaming and improving leveling property.

Printing

  • Printing conditions shall be confirmed in printing specification sheet.
  • Coverage of 939 NC BLACK with 350 mesh would be about 80 m2/kg.
(Calculated value of printed ink layer thickness 5 µm)

Drying / Curing

  • Drying over 160℃ for 30 minutes is required for providing adhesion and the resistances.
  • In case of multilayer printing, dry at 80℃ for 10 minutes as tack-free conditions,
then overprint other color. After printing final color, dry at 160℃ for 30 minutes as final drying.

Safety and Handling

  • Wear protective gloves/eye protection to protect skin and eyes.
  • If ink, solvent, etc. comes in contact with skin, wash/rinse with plenty of water with soap.
  • If in eyes, rinse eyes cautiously with plenty of water or warm water, call a doctor and get
    medical advice.
  • Keep container tightly closed after use and store in a dark and cool place.
